Rewards Trip to England v Australia Match
BackAs a reward to our students who had the highest attendance in extracurricular clubs, we took 47 Year 10 and 11 students to watch the recent England vs Australia football match at Wembley Stadium.
These students consistently demonstrate the vital ingredients of being an EPA student, they exemplify independence, respect, reliance and aspiration. The students were not only watching a great game of football but embodied the whole football experience which included, football etiquette, chanting and participating in the whole stadium Mexican wave.
The students were able to learn and witness the fast pace of London and how competitive but respectful the football community is. This trip was definitely a wow moment for some of our students particularly for those who had aspirations to watch England play.
For some of our Year 11 students, especially those who are going on to study sports science, further physical education and physical therapy at college/sixth form this was a real insight into the support that is needed for a football match to take place and potential careers they could go into in the future.
